By every standard, she’s a classy woman, affable and polished. she has her hands in every pies which she severally uses to wet her appetite for the good things of life, which she revels in so much. As a seasoned educator and a top player in the global education community, mercurial Bisi Akin-Alabi is the founder of SchoolRun Academy – a movement aimed at correcting the anomalies in the education sector and bringing in a new normal.
The UK trained expert has since grown in leaps and bounds from her small and humble beginning, honing and mastering what she has passion for, steadily and stealthily rising through the ranks from being a female train driver in the UK to running 5 childcare settings where she showcased her diligence and got recommendation from the UK Prime Minister almost 20 years ago ( March 2001).
Her veering into education has really been worthwhile for her, having being one of late former Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi’s trusted aides as Special Adviser on Education, Scienceand Technology. During her tenure, she placed Ibadan, Oyo state on the world map through the recognition of Ibadan as a UNESCO Learning city as a result of the unique offerings of OYOMESI- a project she conceived and led successfully.
Described as one of the Nigeria’s education juggernaut, she has mastered the terrain with friends and has since clinched recommendations and awards from across the world.
Little wonder, the veteran education expert, Dr Bisi Akin-Alabi, PhD, MBA, BSc, PGCE, DMS, NNEB was recently appointed as the Director of projects and operations, Ola-Up Foundation for development, education and wealth in recognition of her track record in the education profession, taking over the running of the affairs of the foundation in the ECOWAS member countries and rolling out projects in collaboration with government of member states.
